Hello, it’s me. A 26-year-old girl with less-than-impressive gut issues.
I was always told that gut issues are yet another normal annoyance women have to deal with. My mom has them, my sister has them, and I have them.
After dinners out with friends, I’d either get stuck in the bathroom or have to call it an early night because I felt so bloated and fatigued. I started avoiding creamy pasta dishes – so long carbonara – cut back on my morning coffees, and if I was traveling, you better believe I only ate the equivalent of crackers.
I kept blaming my gut problems on what I was eating or stressful work projects, but I should have been looking inside. I’ve seen so many ads for probiotics but had no idea how to choose one or if what they were claiming was true. And I didn’t want to try yet another “magic pill” that wouldn’t actually help.
After going through my nightly Instagram scroll, I noticed that a few of my favorite influencers had started talking about Seed and theirDS-01® Daily Synbiotic.
The influencers talking about Seed were super transparent and mentioned that they even went through SeedUniversity, the certification that all of their partners have to go through to become a partner. I was impressed that Seed has training that ensures anyone affiliated with them knows all about the science that goes into the process. I’ve been burned by influencer #ads before, so hearing this actually made me more inclined to check them out.
I looked into their website and was blown away – Seed seems more legitimate than any other brand I’ve seen. Their DS-01® Daily Synbiotic is formulated with 24 clinically and scientifically studied probiotic strains, and an innovative prebiotic that’s non-fermenting (which made me feel better about it not hurting my stomach). It also has a unique delivery system called ViaCap®, which places a probiotic capsule inside a prebiotic capsule to protect the probiotics throughout digestion so that they get to where they need to – your intestines!
I also learned that because it’s a probiotic and a prebiotic, it’s actually a synbiotic. It’s formulated with select probiotic strains that work to promote regularity, provide relief from occasional bloating, support healthy stool quality, and keep digestive discomfort at bay.
Unlike most probiotics, Seed’s DS-01® Daily Synbiotic is backed by science and rigorous testing. They go above and beyond industry standards, delivering strain-specific data, ongoing clinical research, and quality control testing. They also test for survivability, purity, potency, contaminants, and over 20+ food allergens.
Another standout is that Seed’s DS-01® isn’t just formulated with digestion in mind. Taking a more systemic approach, it also includes strains studied for effects on gut barrier integrity (to reinforce a healthy gut lining), gut immune function (to support communication between the gut and immune system), cardiovascular health (to promote healthy cholesterol levels), and even the synthesis of key nutrients (like folate and vitamin B12).
With so much science, testing, and innovation behind Seed, I ordered The Welcome Kit.
Once it was delivered, I couldn’t wait to get started. It arrived in ultra-modern (and sustainable) packaging that rivals my favorite skincare products. And inside was a refillable glass jar, a glass travel vial, and a 30-day supply — 60 capsules.
Seed recommends taking one capsule a day for a few days before moving up to two daily. I take mine with a glass of water as soon as I wake up and then wait an hour before eating or drinking my morning coffee (and yes, I checked – you can take it before coffee no problem!).
Since everyone’s body is different, results can take shorter or longer, though I saw results fairly quickly. After the first week of taking DS-01® Daily Synbiotic, I noticed that I was more regular – like way more regular. While I’d typically be a maybe-once-a-day kind of girl, during the first three days I was visiting the bathroom a few times a day. And honestly, I was not mad about it. I had a tiny bit of discomfort during my first few days (my stomach felt a bit tight), but it leveled out by the end of the week.
By week three, I was having little to no stomach problems so I brought some rich foods back into my diet. Typically, I’d feel bloated beyond belief if I accidentally poured whole milk into my coffee or ate too much cheese. But I’m happy to announce that I have reintroduced the kiddie-size scoop of mint-chocolate chip ice cream to my diet! And so far, so good.
I’m now on week four of taking the DS-01® Daily Synbiotic and I officially trust my gut. I don’t have to check restaurant menus in advance to make sure there are ‘light options.’ And I no longer stress about irregularity – which is honestly such a weight lifted I didn’t even know was there.
Seed’s DS-01® Daily Synbiotic lets me go out with friends without the fear of asking ‘do you know where the bathroom is?’ I’m eating all the cheese off charcuterie boards like it’s going out of style and I can actually have more than one coffee on the days I’m dragging.
Truth be told, I’m a little bitter I was told for so long that gut issues are just “normal” – now that I’m taking the DS-01® Daily Synbiotic, they most definitely are not. I’m more regular and my bloating has almost completely subsided, but I also know that I’m reaping the benefits of a healthy gut from the inside out.
Even though I was hesitant about trying Seed, I now recommend it to anyone dealing with gut issues. And there’s never been a better time to get your gut in check than now!
